Any one use Studio Les Pauls ?

Im thinking of getting a new one (from an on line store) and Id love to know what people think about em.

I have seen the reviews @ HC and I'd like to hear from people that have owned one.

Im playing a PRS CE24 /bunch of nice strats at the moment. Will it compare ? It will have a hard job with the PRS, however, Im hoping it will blow my mind and just be completely cool !

ah hey, i've got a les paul studio....well lets see, it's not bad...its wine red with gold hardware, although i dont like the finihs cuz its VERY dark red...and my bro had to spend 40 bucks to get it setup good cuz the intonation was horrible, and its kinda still out, cuz we dont feel like wasting another 40...i mean sure its decent, but the pickup selection switch goes out a lot, we gotta replace that....it's not my first pick, id much rather play the 1600$ les paul lol cuz i bet that ones better..the studio is just the 2nd to cheapest gibson les paul, if this one isnt exactly what i expected, jeez i wonder how bad the les paul special is, the $600 lol....anyway all in all its not bad, i'd give it like a 7/10

Toad Rush is on a distinguished road
Thumbs up

I got one at a pawn shop with a Marshall VS30r for 200 bucks. It plays wonderful. Then again this is only the second guitar i owned the first being a crappy 80 dollar one. I've played a few other guitars MIM Tele, Epiphone Les Pauls, a brand new Les Paul standard. I just keep coming back to my babe, and i LOVE the dark red color.. very purdy.

I bought a used '83 LP studio ,natural blond finish with gold hardware, mint, $230.In the early '90s I went to the music store with my axe and a pocket full of cash. The object was to get a new high end LP.After a/b testing a wall of $1500-$3000 dollar LPs nothing could touch my studio for sound , playability or fit and finish.Damn , I miss her.

Thumbs up LPSTUDIO

Wow,,,how many of these dark wine with gold hardware buggers are there out there? Hehehe,,,i have the very same.Mine was £349 second hand.
I would have to say that after i got rid of those ABSOLUTELY USELESS machine heads and pegs,,and had them replaced with a set of Gold Sperzel Trim Locks its really excellent!
Sp try to have them replaced before they fall off.
Weighs a feckin tone of course, but im sure you know that already.
its STILL not the most powerful guitar i have though, cos my Patrick Eggle(Tony Iommi Jnr i believe)SG is SUCH a beast for the heavy stuff. Great guitar ! I can recomend it !
so i would give the LP Studio 8 and a half out of 10 so far!
Soi hope you get a good un mate, cos im sure there are some shitey ones out there!

Monsterpop, was it an easy replacement ? Im a big fan of posh heads and pegs !

I was thinking of swapping out the machine heads and pegs on my tele and mex calif. strat but it involved drilling out the head stock and at that point, well I figured it was too much hassle !

However if it is an easy job on the LP I may well give it a go !

Any one tried the Graphtech LP tunomatic bridge saddle replacements ? Ive put Graphtech saddles on 2 strats and a tele and they are great but I put em on a PRS CE24 and well no change really !
