I installed home studio 2002 on my dell computer which has win xp and also installed Midi port 1x1 to do midi from keyboard to the pc, everytime I perform on my keyboard the computer crashes a blue screen would pop up letting me know the computer has suffered fatal crash reboot computer. I 'm also having problems with my out put sound for hs 2002 I can not hear any sound plus the software locks up everytime I perform. I have loaded win xp updated drivers as well as midiman up dated drivers. Is there something obvious I am doing wrong here.
thanks |

Lets do one thing at a time here. First get HS2002 working without the midman midi interface.
I would be inclined to strip out the midiman and just try HS2002 on its own, make sure it records and plays back okay, audio and midi (use the VSC ) |

And it's possible that HS is not happy with your soundcard. What is it? (I'm not talking about your MIDI-device, Midiman 1x1).

That's not really helpull at all...
![]() Anyway, you can try to use MME-drivers. In HS, go Options -> Audio -> Advanced and tick the "Always use MME-drivers even...."-checkbox.
