Printing directly onto cd-r surface

Does anyone own an Epson Stylus Photo 900 printer? www.epson.com

It’s more than just a photo printer, it also prints directly onto the surface of a cd-r. It uses ink jet printable cd-r’s that are available on line. The printer costs around $200. It sounds like a more professional way to make cd’s at home. But does it work right?

I found a review on-line, but I’d like to hear more about it. The review isn’t bad but it’s only one person’s opinion. I had a Lexmark all-in-one printer that gave me plenty of trouble. After a week and a half on the phone with tech support, I gave up and sent it back. They could get it to work, but the next time I’d start the computer it would go back to it’s old tricks. The idea of an all-in-one printer is fine, but I’m more interested in music and making my own cd’s.

my freind has that printer actually... eahh it's not terrible but it's not that great either.. if your just putting black words titles on CDs than its great but if you want the look of a whole graphic on the CD like what you see on cd's you buy in stores you are NEVER gonna get that with this printer... your best bet to make your own graphics on cds is by sending them to a company like baby distribution ... you can get 200 cd's printed with a jewel case with cover and back with shrinkwrap and a frame with your cd gold plated in it and 20 posters for 249.99 thats hell of a deal.
