Fruity Loops - Using Effects

finding the tutorials much too confusing, i came here. how do i apply an effect(s) to a single track in v3.56? they made it way more complicating than cwpa. Thanks

Here’s how it works in Fruity Loops 3:
Click on the track, choose an effect-channel (top-right). Go to effects, choose the same effects-channel. Then apply an effect.
