Anyone familiar with this deck? What was it's original purpose? There's one on eBay that'll go cheap because it has to be picked up in Charlotte, NC. About 3 or 4 days left on the auction. Hmmm, that's about 400 miles from here. Not out of the question if I could figure out why I need it

I think its a 1/4 inch mastering deck... I think I know someone who uses one...in thier matering room. They used it for mastering from 8 track 1/2 machines... Not sure...but it in the fog of my mind..
