Looking to buy MD4S, or Sony MKII

Hi.

I am looking for a 4 track bacjup to my MD8. This way, I can have 12 tracks by syncing them, and also have a 4 track backup in case something happens to my MD8. Anyone selling one of these units?

Jeff, I have a MD4S that I'm keeping.
But...

Were you aware that the Sony Pro Audio dept. charges aound
DOUBLE that of the Yamaha? ($120/hr. vs. $60/hr. when I checked)

Good point.

I'll have to keep that in mind.

I didn't think you could sync-up two MD8's or MD8 to MD4 ?
I thought I read that some where?

Pier

You can sync an MD8 as master, to an MD4S, not the old MD4. You cannot sync two MD8's, cause they can only be master. The newer MD4S can be set as slave, so it can link up with the MD8 for 12 tracks.

Red face

Thanks Jeff,

I was not aware of that fact.
I have a MD8 that I really don't use much any more sence I went with a DAW. At that time I needed more tracks.

But any way that's good to know.
