Amplitube problem

Hi guys

I installed amplitube on my comp (and it was visible in my effect list under sonar 2.1)..
Now I tried to apply the plugin on sonar and I was able to open Amplitube , when clicked the audition button sonar just crashed

furthermore for some reason the Amplitube effect is no longer available in sonar when I R-mouse click on a audio track

So Amplitube is now a DX-effect or have you installed a wrapper?

You should be able to use the Plugin Manager (found at cakewalk.com) to make Amplitube visible in the menus again. Just look under "Hidden FX".

So you have a wrapper. Which one?

And you need the Plugin Manager from Cakewalk. When Sonar finds a plugin that doesen't work, Sonar removes the plugin from the menus, and you need to bring it back with the Plugin Manager.

Sounds like you have a DX which is only licensed, and therefore restricted, to use in the demo version of Cool Edit from which it came.

The info Moskus gave you regarding manipulating the menu is correct and will sort out your display problems.

I installed a demo version of Sound Forge 6 and it's effects then appeared in Sonar - I could use them but they inserted a high-pitched "bleep" every second............... Sounds like a similar thing is happening to you.

Cya,

Q.

And if it's a "demo", it's quite possible that you're not allowed to use it as a real-time effect...

I didnt try to use it as a real time efffect ..

just on a pre recorded track in wav format ,...

if that wouldnt be allowed what would be the point of the demo ?
that is what that thing is supposed to do no ?

think I m going to put my old ghost image over my c: partition
and reinstall all I need again ..

coz I have to admit my system was not really stable lately ...

thanx for the input
