Cool

I've got a piece of paper with some writing on it and an empty cup with Dad printed on it.

My printer keeps telling me that it's run out of yellow ink.

You win Reco, life is so cruel.

Reco, nice setup but what have you made with it? Post some links to MP3s or something. I have a decent setup but I haven't done jack with it (yet!). There are tons of kids with 4 tracks that run circles around what I've done with a fancy computer and great gear. Hold off on the excitement when you've made some tracks that you are really happy about.

Btw, it's been my experience that more technology can lead to WAY more headaches. It gets away from what SHOULD be the focus of projects.

Dudes!

Cool ANd huh?
Aside from being on this forum for 4 years I have owned systems and recorded with them and post mp3's.
I started with a fostex x(cant remember exact model) and loved and cryed when my Tascam 424MKII died! I made and album on the machine.......
I then graduated to a Gateway PII 400mhz machine and recorded with n-track and acid and cool edit pro and sound forge.
ANd made quality recordings with just its built in sand blaster sound card then added a Echo Mia and Cake walk home studio and a 2x2 midi interface. had that machine till two years ago but never released my works from it(title "the lo fry sessions").....
I the graduated to a Apple Ibook and Mbox but had to many problems so returned it all shortly after.......... Bought another apple and hated it (G4 tower with DP3 and a Motu 1224)......
I have always liked and used pc's so that arives me at the rig I have now............ And it is only a month old to me so hang in there and I will release it all to you.
In the mean time check out my MP3.com site of old crap.
http://www.mp3.com/rickfaber

Oh and BluesMeister life is cruel Im still paying for it and my last apple....GRRRRR!

SO you all see it doesnt matter what you own but how you use it I just needed something up to date and want to know what other sonar and cakewalk users are using..........

Peace and keep on replying yall.

Tracking with an HD24 clocked with a GenX6, transfering in and out of a 700MHz PIII/512 with a MOTU 2408 mkII and edit with Cakewalk PA9. All mixing is analog through a console.

...Nice setup, Reco And you too Track Rat

My machine is average PIII866 512MB. But as most of Cakewalkers around would like to have some "Dual thingee" I'd just want to mention my "Duals..."

Dual HDDs
Dual CDRWs
Dual 1202 Mixers
Dual soundcards
Dual external portable FX's
Dual sound system monitors
...
...
etc...

But most of all in this forum, I love my...

Dual Personalities

...please consider Pre-ordering Homerecording.Comp CD's Vol 2

Sorry, Reco, didn't realize you were a veteran and had released a lot unlike myself

Well done stuff though it's not what I generally like listening to. A quick note, your MP3s are considerably softer than most of the MP3s I've heard. Not sure if you posted premastered tracks.

great setup, but why so many keyboard controllers?

why not use the big korg as your controller?

do you take your rig out with the smaller keyboard and leave the korg at home?

Oh yeah, I love the interface. I'm still going back and forth wondering if I should just buy Sonar with the plugins or to buy Sonar and then some Waves.

Have any of you compared waves renaissance or waves native package plugins to the Sonar XL plugins?

And of course there's that whole paying off what you owe now before you buy more.

Got them both You can't compare any plugins with Waves... just leave it alone... it's God of plugins... and you'll deffinitely love it out of Timeworks. I bought SONAR 2 XL first last year, and still using my old Waves NPP 2 for long... 'til I got more funds to buy the Waves 3 last few months... It rocks !!! specially the Compressor / Limiter thingee... Awesome
