Mackie hr824 vs mackie hr624

Are these monitors pretty much the same (excluding the size, etc). i know monitors are very subjective, however, i am jsut curious if the 624's are a smaller version of the 824s or a step down. Thanks!

The 624's can't go as low as the 824's, so they need a subwolfer to go with them. I read in Electronic Musician that the mids were actually a little better on the 624's because they weren't trying to produce those low notes. But of course, with a subwolfer there's that whole cross-over issue and such. I haven't heard them myself.

So what's the lowest frequency the 624's can accurately re-produce? 40hz?
