Webcasting?

Has anyone received any success on internet radio or started an internet radio station to promote their music or group of bands in their area? Does it work?

OK If yer gunna consider Webcasting, then you have to understand a few important things:

(1) Most people fail cause they end up in a list of about a bazillion other stations and get lost in the fray

(2) Bandwidth: If yer serious plan on increasing your outgoing bandwidth (Most high speed ISPs choke down your outgoing bandwidth)

(3) In reference to #1: Be sure to have your own website with a link to a popup player that plays yer stuff... and be prepared to spend a LOT of time promoting.

wanna learn how to generate tonns of trafic to your site? Visit www.marketingtips.com

I bought his product and read it... makes a LOT of sense... however I just do not have the time to implement most of his techniques. 2 years ago however I started a portal site for a Game calle Biz Biz Tycoon... the game had a manual on the CD that was about 400meg and in some obscure RTF format... many people were hitting the games main website asking for a manual... I took the time to convert the manual and then cut and paste it into a website format... then using the techniques I learned from "marketingtips.com" I managed to generate more than unique 300 hits in just 2 days.

If I had any of my original works completed I would likely go this route.

Hope this helps some... if you have any questions feel free to PM me.
