Press Kit on DVD?

Will record companies accept dvd press kits?

Well, that's really hard to say. Why don't you ask them when you're soliciting your mailing. What?......You're sending unsolicited material? If so, check the landfill for your reply.

i'll agree with bdbdbuck on the unsolicited thing but as far as the DVD thing goes, don't bother. you never know what tools the A&R rep is going to have with them at the time they review your kit, IF they review your kit. they're most likely not going to have a DVD player always by them. always send stuff in paper first, but if you have a movie of your band, it can't hurt.

maybe it would be cool to send a tradtional folder with a pic & bio on paper with the dvd as a bonus?

Question Why DVD?

Is there a specific reason you want to send a press kit on DVD?

Chances are, at least for initial contact, a standard paper-and-CD kit is the best way to go, as the only required equipment is a CD player and a pair of eyes.
