I read that Uli Behringer was a big proponent of tube A/d converters. His whole R&D team is waiting for something to copy though.

Studer [earlier in the "Harman" era regime] made a "toob" A/D called the "D-19". I didn't think it sounded all that great... but it was severly overpriced [IMNTLBFHO], said "Studer" on the label and had a toob inside... a cornucopia of 'buzz word excellence'!!!

Funny you should mention it...one of those cheapo soundcard chipset manufacturers (crystal or ess or something) has an integrated chipset with a 12AX7 in the circuit. That's right, a tube motherboard.

I think it's a great idea, but first I'm going to try replacing the four billion transistors in my PIII processor with tubes....that should really warm things up!

I suppose a tube mouse pad might be a bit safer -- not to mention easier on the R&D budget.

The dbx 386 has a "tube" preamp in front of an A/D converter that is considered to be top notch, does that count?

I'm working on a spray product for people that are afraid of the mic.

It smells like the best pussy you ever tasted.

Another product is for those guys that are too damned close.

It smells like ass.

For the queer guys that swallow the mic, I have a product that smells like a yeast infection. In August. In Georgia.

The state, not the woman.........................

once you guys make all your toob products, i'll make a digital plug in that sounds like a crappy metalic version. and i'll make an outboard hardware modeler of each of your pieces.

Ehm, honestly, that wasn't that great. Not to misuunderstand me, I have nothing against pussy, but it isn't the smell that draws me there... Couldn't I just have it smell of roses or strawberries or something?

How about a tube noisegate? Sometimes I think the silence between signals just doesn't sound warm enough

I was a little quiet about a new project I have, but now the patents are dealt with, I have a new product to announce to you guys:

Cable with Universal NanoTube(tm)

I'm kind of working on a good product name/abbreviation though ...

The idea is simple: no matter what (transistor) gear you use, you can warm up things just by using my all-new tube-cable. Instant vintage.

I'm emailing Rupert if he doesn't want to design a console with this kind of cable...
