Recommend a useful portable recording device?

I'm looking to purchase a small recording device for use on my live gigs. Something like a walkman recorder, but digital.

I'd like it to have a decent mic, and of course a line-in for recording stereo off the board when available.

If my iPod had a recording option, it would be really nice. I know it's up and coming, but I'm keeping my old one.

Oh, and under $100.

Any suggestions?

Look for a cheap minidisc recorder. YOu can find a decent Sony on ebay for around there. I've used them to record a live session and ended up with a very usable recording right off the monitor mixer.

SOny Minidisk. MIght have a hard time finding it for $100, but they work great.
