Boss compressor

Has anybody used any of the Boss compressor stomp boxes
thru a Marshal JMP1.

I'm using a multi fx unit thru the fx loop, the only effects I use a lot of is reverb and comp even then not that often, in fact use very little fx. The comp on my fx unit is super crap. Wanted to use a front end compressor????

any advice!!??

cheers

I've got a Boss CS-3 and I can't say that I really like it. It's hard to get any decent compression without really changing the tone. Oddly it actually makes the tone thinner instead of thicker like most compressors.

I want to find a better inline guitar comp.

I had the Boss CS-3 for a while and I was really really really let down with it. Normally I really like Boss stuff, but this compressor sucked big time. Like Roadkill said, it changes the tone so much and actually makes it thinner. If you're looking for something small, Presonus makes a pretty decent little compressor that is well worth the money.

Hope that helps.
