recording drums

I am going to start recording drums in the near future. Have got a dude from local music school whos keen to try a bit of home recording etc. He knows how to tune his drums and will have nice new skins and the kit should be sounding good..

These are the mics that I have

1x SMpro MC01 large diaghraph condenser
2 x Rode Nt1 large condenser
1x Audio technica pro 9 kick drum mic
2 Shure sm57

My plan is to have the Nt1s on either side of the kit as overheads.
sm57 on the snare and another one between the toms. kick drum mic down low obviously.

what is traditionally used to mic the floor tom??? could I get away with using my el cheapo Mco1 large diaghram condenser (chinese made and looks a lot like cheap CAD, marshall etc) but branded as mco1 by a wholesaler here in australia. Or should I be using some kind of dynamic instrument mic for this application.

can anyone see any problems with this setup and suggest some other techniques??

have heard that Nt1s may be too"bright" as drum overheads-any suggestions as to what is the recomended (on a rock bottom buget of course ).

any info advice would be greatly appreciated as I plan to be doing this next week.
