Audio Technica AT 802 Omnidirectional Dynamic Mic

A friend and I are cleaning out his parents house after they passed away, and we found an Audio Technica AT 802 Omnidirectional Dynamic mic in MINT condition with case.

I cannot find any information on this mic anywhere. Can anyone tell me anything about this mic?

Thanks for the help.

At802

I only have more than over 25 years of loving my AT802 microphone to offer as info. I sang in various groups on and off through college and after and finally splurged on my own real microphone when I started making a regular paycheck. I bought my AT802 at a specialty music shop in DC in 1982 for around $75. Inflation being what it is, I'm sure that makes the 802 equivalent to a $250 - $300 microphone in today's prices. I recently picked up a Sennheiser e935 because they had such a great price on them at Guitar Center. Doing A-B tests with the two mics doesn't reveal any significant quality difference as far as I can tell. That's pretty impressive after all those years. Hope that is better than nothing.
