Goto www.sweetwater.com/theball . It looks like they have them and they're only $199. Seems like it would have to be pretty cool for that price...

How the heck do you attach one of those things to a mic stand?

I was kinda wondering that myself... I'm sure there's some sort of mount. I hear it's actually about the size of a softball.

if you look closely at the picture, you can see a mounting ring on the bottom. ...also, this mic has been advertised as a "table-top" mic in several ads. so...... i dunno.

heh he... i really want one though just cause it look so cool. but that goes for every Blue mic.... luckily most of them perform as well as they look too.

Judging from the published response pattern, it'll probably be pretty
bright sounding.

Yeah Subcontractor, I guess we hold back because its such a blatant dare. We're being taunted! Just like any knock-knock joke, or the "shave and a hair cut" gag, we males can't resist the call....

...any fool knows that blue balls are bad!

...blue balls may be 'bright' but you can't be very bright with a case of blue balls!

OK, I'll behave now. (snicker, snicker)

Smile

Sometimes they can be good.
Sometimes they can be bad.
Depends on the cause.
