are these tapes any good? anyone use or like them?

Yo Solid fuel Rocket:

Quantegy tapes used to be Ampex. I don't think the quality is as good as it used to be when it was Ampex.

I bought some Quantegy cassettes and was not impressed with the quality of the transport gears on the cassette -- noisy.

There are better tapes out there.

If you're referring to Q'tgy ADAT tapes, I've never had a prob with them!

If it's "cassette" tape, then the best I've ever used was Sony UX PRO. These are kind of hard to find but I do remember someone giving a site where they were available.
