MD->PC in sterio?

I'm trying to edit my recordings in Cool Edit Pro 2.0 but I'm having problems. I'm transfering my recordings from my MD (MZ-N707) into my PC via a mini stereo male-to-male cable. Although I can hear it as sterio, it records in mono into Cool Edit Pro 2.0. Any suggestions?

Lightbulb

You are plugging it in from line-out of your mini-disk player to the line-in of your sound card aren't you?

maybe the answer

go to your sound recorder and set it at
"cd quality", if you're using windows, its
set to low quality as a default... find it as
"start, programs, accessories, entertainment, sound recorder", then, when the box comes up, hit properties, default setting is 8 bit mono, hit convert now, under the name, choose cd quality,
now it will be 44.1 @16 bit stereo, hit OK. Leave this dialog box open while recording, as it will revert back when you close it to the default. When I download my MD, I have Cool Edit or Soundforge up. the "properties for sound" up and the recording dialog box up, too. Complicated, but, thereby, you'll get a good download, if you set your levels OK, that is..... you'll for sure need that stereo male to male cable, too, radio crap has em for about $5.
Now, if I can just get my MD repaired!!
