HD24 Phase Out?

I was at a Sam Ash store in Tampa, Fl. today and was told by a sales person that Alesis was going to phase out production of the HD24 after 2003.

Anyone else heard this.

Considering buying one - but now need to rethink.

I dont think Alesis is phasing out the HD24. But they do have a new line that has come out with 96Khz converters instead of 48Khz and I believe its called the HD24-X or something like that. This my be what he meant.
