What presets to use?

Hi. I've been doing a lot of recording with CEP 2.0 and I'm wondering what effects/effect presets you prefer to use with your tracks. I'm mostly interested in... Well all tracks but the main ones would be:

Bass
Guitar &
Vocals

I record styles from Alternative Rock to Slow Rock like Staind to Industrial Rock like Marilyn Manson.

I usually don't use CEP effects, but if I do, here's how.

I go through all presets, or at least the ones that seem likely to work. I settle for the one that sounds best, and tweak it till I'm happy with it.

...then save it as a favorite. I have some basic favorites set for easy access; normalize to 99%, fade in, fade out, a good 2:1 compression setting, a hard limiter setting...

What kind of effects are you referring to? The reverbs suck in cool edit. The delays are ok. The eq's are alright but you're not going to have a preset that you can always use for every case...

What are you getting at?

The reverbs suck in Cool Edit? Who told you that? They lied.

As for presets - real men don't use presets. Real men tweak. Even Marilyn Manson tweaks.
