recommended SCSI drive for backup??

I had a look at the list of Fostex approved drives at this URL:

http://www.fostex.co.jp/int/hdlist/vf160.html

However, I was wondering whether anyone has used an external SCSI hard drive (formatted in the Fostex way) for backing up their audio data. A hard drive would provide more storage space than any of the devices listed at the above URL.

I'd appreciate any info. Thanks.

You're welcome andy.A guy posted yesterday on the VF 16/160 board about having success with an old internal SCSI hardrive. Here's the thread where he explains it all:

thanks

Yes, I looked at that thread on adding a SCSI drive -- turns out I don't need one after all, because I have an internal burner. I thought, mistakenly, that a SCSI would provide some functionality that the internal drive does not.

thanks again,
Andy
