Are Adat tapes going to be phased out?
Given the low lx20 prices, I was wondering if Adat machines were goig to be discontinued? If so, will Adat tapes be far behind? Anyone know?

Hell, they're just S-VHS tapes. I have a feeling they'll be available for a good while yet.

Furthermore, as per Oben Markum, Alesis techie workin' outta' NYC's Sam Ash, states that Quantegy and BASF will continue to mfr. S-VHS for the ADAT market since prices have been drastically reduced with many units still in use and a sizeable demand for tapes. Also factor in the low cost of ADAT tape construction, distribution and marketing vs net profitability via sales will keep
ADAT's and tapes around for a long time!
