Drum Looping in Home Studio 2002XL

Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong! I'm trying to make a four measure
drum beat, like the beat in the RS "Honky Tonk Woman". I set up a loop time
and do the drum beat on the keyboard and it comes out too short or too long,
I can't seem to trim it and when I copy and paste it it's all out of wack!
Thank's to all,Ed

Too short or too long? Are you playing in sync with the HS2003 tempo (as playing to a metronome)?

You can open the clip in the Piano Roll (by doubble-clicking on the clip), and then rightclick- and select quantise. Try with different settings...

When copying the drums you have to tell HS to paste with the snap to measure option on.

Just thought of:

Are you using a DXi to program the drums? In that case it could be that your latency is too high. Check Options -> Audio -> Latency.

What's your soundsource and soundcard?

Yes it was...

You know my system has dual OS. Win98SE & WinXP. PA 9 is still exist in my 98SE. Just for fun sometime. And it helps me alot easier to answer a question from PA9 users.
