Question Behringer PreAmp usage

So I just picked up a spiffy new Behringer UltraGain Pro Mic 2200 PreAmp. and really I'm clueless, so I have a few questions. I'll be using it to power a condenser mic that will be run to an MAudio Delta 44 sound card and then into CoolEdit Pro.

Mostly I will be recording acoustic instruments and vocals.

Can any suggest some EQ settings that will make my Martin sound just as good recorded as it does live?

subquestion -- What the hell is Bandwidth and why do I care?

Thanks all!

You can EQ till the cows come home, you won't get the live sound if it's not live. This is the life long dream of recording engineers the world over. They spend thousands upon thousands to do this and EQ is the last thing in thier arsenal of equipment that they use.

Bandwidth can mean a few different things depending on the context. In the computer world, and specifically the internet, it refers to how much data can be passed between two points per unit of time.[/B]

It is one of the settings for the parametric equaliser and alters the frequency range that gets increased or decreased.
It is also refered to as Q (no not as Star-Trek)

If you do not have a manual download it from the berry web site.

I believe the bandwidth to which you refer is in the channel eq's. The mid is probably semi-parametric.
