Sonar users. Help! How do I play those MIDI tracks

Ya know those sample tracks that come with Sonar? Well how do I play them back.
I've only used the audio part of sonar and have no midi gear. I just want to do a simple play back of those sample tracks that come with SOnar. How do I do that?????

Lightbulb

What's your sondcard ? If it's Creative's liner (SB Live!, Audigy, etc..) then piece of cake...

No Jaymz... it's not Creative

Go Options --> MIDI devices. What did you see ?

Nothing, Jaymz...

Well, SONAR comes with DXi, so in fact, you DO have MIDI device... (at least an access to one). Make sure you have installed at least VSC EDIROL DXi. Open the MIDI sample file, load the EDIROL DXi, assign each tracks MIDI out port to EDIROL VSC. Set them to have their own MIDI channel.

How to do that ?

Just try it... come back here if you have any difficulties...
