Need help, VF-16 recording from adat - speed problem

Hi,

I recently recorded tracks directly from an ADAT recorder to my VF16. I did this by setting the "digital in" in the setup to adat and recorded tracks 1-8 on the VF16 while I played the ADAT. The tracks recorded fine, but when I play them back, the playback is slower. It is about 8% slower (a song that is 3:47 on ADAT is now 4:07 on the VF-16). I was just going to use vari-pitch to compensate, but it only goes to 6%. Can anyone please give me an idea of what might have gone wrong? The ADAT was supposed to be 16 bit 44.1K

Your sample rates don't match. My guess is the ADAT was at 48k and the Fostex is at 44.1.

Your reply sounds correct - the difference between 48K and 44.1K is 8%. I'll check with my friend who has the ADAT. He thought it was at 44.1, but must have been mistaken.
