Aight, basically ur beats sound too plain - u got tha drums and melody, u need lots of bass and lot's more elements - extra melodys running on top, change-ups - try just holding one note on, it can have a dramatic effect to how a piece sounds. U need 2 develop ur melodys a bit more. Just lots more elements and ur beats won't be bare - how 'bout different sections? Hook? Bridge? Experiment. What u got ain't bad, but this is the next step.

wow
Dude I was not feeling that stuff AT ALL! I am from the west coast originally and MANY people on this site are east coast stuff. The tracks were insanely monotonous and very non melodic. I could see some east coats rappers on it, but none that sell millions. sorry man. But Hey, for every unstatisfied, there is another huge fan.

Being from tha UK I guess I have an advantage, I listen 2 all types 'coz UK's version of hip-hop that's on top is garage, which I can't stand. Personally, quite a west coast person myself but I can feel other types as well.
Oh, and good luck. |

As far as charts/mainstream is concerned it has quite bad taste (Ja Rule, Nelly
- though it is gettin' betta), but everythin' else u get a good mix of everythin' - UK feels many types. There are lots of hip-hop headz ova here, really inta' hip-hop an' even normal people who would be expected to hate rap buy some of tha betta stuff - so I guess we do have a deeper undastandin'. |
