wanted too see how popular the MPC really is among todays beat makers

ive messed with one a like a year ago , but ive never purchased one

i was always told that it was the hip hop instrument standard

i have the MPC2000 with maxed out RAM and the effects board on it

i believe its the best piece of equipment out there on the market.

Not me. If I had the money I'd think about copping one perhaps, see if its all that its hyped up to be.. spending a G or more on a sequencer with some pads seems a little frivolous to me (in the 2xl's case- I understand the 4000 is a lot more than that). After banging on the 4000 in the store a little, I do like how the pads feel.

MPC 60

haven't been able to midi it up yet.

But, i prefer the 3000 and the 60 over a 2000.

And I heard the 4000 is like a whole other machine.

Is it true that thing doesn't accept the same stuff as the 2000 or some kind of compatability issue if you wanted to go from using your 3000, or 2000 to using a 4000?

And.....doesn't the 2000 have the WORST sound? I heard those were the worst mpc's by far.
