In this months edition of SOS magazine there is a preview of the Yamaha mLAN 01x soundboard. Hey Paul, whatchoo talking about?
Well, it uses firewire interface running the mLAN protocol so plenty of multimedia take-up and no problem with bandwidth. Plus it will run vst's and maybe (probably?) Dxi plug-in support too. And it has sliders and lots of other knobs and swithchs And it will integrate seamlessly to all the major sequencers, including Sonar. It has 8 balanced analogue inputs, all capable of handling eiother mic or line ins, phantom power on two inputs and a S/PDIF input too Four out puts plus S/PDIF and configured monitoring outs as well. Also, not forgetting midi in and out.It looks like a standard mixing desk and will be capable of recording 96kHz, 24 bit sample rates and depth. Product release date will be Autumn and will be around £1200 or in the USA, around $1500. Guess whats on my Christmas list this year ![]() |

Hey hey, that's sounds like something I want!
![]() But Paul, when you talk to yourself, the text must be blue. Like this: Why is that, Moskus? Just so you can see that I'm talking to myself... Now, stop it, people! ![]()
