VST Instruments and Mixdown

Hi all,

I have tried to do this for ages but keep getting knocked down. I hope you can help.

I have created a song with guitars and a MIDI drum pattern that I created in the drum editor. I am using the LM-4 VST instrument to get better drum sounds, but I cant figure out how to include these drum sounds in the mixdown. When I use EXPORT AUDIO the resulted Wav file is invalid and I think this is because the drum beat is being included as MIDI instead of as audio in the final.

All I need to do is get this going and include my drum beat in my final mix and then I can put some songs online!!

I have trying to do this for ages - I hope someone can help!!

Cheers,

Jono

To convert VST instruments to audio, make sure the box that says something to the effect of "Convert VST instruments to audio" is checked in the mixdown box. I can't remember the exact wording and my system is in pieces right now, but it says something to that effect.

However, if your getting invalid .wav files (is it when you try to burn them to CDR?) it could be that your not exporting at the right resolution. Make sure you have it set to mixdown to 44.1 / 16 bit. Any other resolution will result in problems when you try to burn.

Good Luck.
