Tascam MSR16

I'm gonna upgrade my Fostex Model 80 eight track reel machine into a 16 track. I currently negotiating some guy selling a Tascam MSR-16 1/2" machine, which should be in excellent condition,
the price is gonna get to about 600$ I believe...

Do you have any experience with this machine and how do you like it ?

I just found another guy selling a Fostex B-16... is it as good as the Tascam ? any reason to prefer the Fostex ?

Go for the Tascam, B16 parts are hard to find or impossible to find, plus very expensive.

The Tascam is more reliable anyway.
