decent sequencer??
I have just learned (much to my dismay) that my TD-10 expanded tdw-1 sequencer is crap! It can not record cymbal choke (polyphonic key pressure)! How can it not record it's own information?? It will send it to another sequencer, though! Can't believe Rolands $5000 flagship V-sessions don't have this most basic of features!! Anyway, enough b***hing. Can any suggest a decent sequencer for under $200 that will handle this task?

You want a fully featured MIDI sequencer for UNDER $200....you are a toker.
Here's one on ebay, I use the QY-70 and it totally rocks. Enjoy! |

All I'm looking for is something to sync to my V-session td-10, and my computer, and maybe a keyboard. I need to record the information into the sequencer via the TD-10, the play the Td-10 back (with cymbal choke, damnit, because the TD-10 will not record polyphonic key pressure) via the sequencer in sync with the computer. So the TD-10 will be the sound source. Doesn't sound like more than a $200 task, but I'm sure it will end up being much more.

Go with the QY-70, it's the most complete sequencer for under $200 used. It comes with PC/Mac file backup software....though you may need to buy a 9 pin to serial port cable for the data- filer.
