HD24 with BRC

I'm anxious to hear what problems that might occur if I would use an HD24 with a BRC. I've read all the stuff about it in the manual and I basically want to know what I could experience apart from what it says there.
I'm on the brink of buying an HD24 to replace my adat recorders, so I want to know what I might be getting into!

The time display was always wrong but the main reason I don't use my BRC with the HD is I put word clock directly into the the HD from a GenX6 and I believe it wants to clock from the BRC if it's hooked up.

Yeah, that's how I used to clock the ADATs. I have no emperical knowledge on this but I feel it's better to clock the HD right on its word clock input rather than daisey chain through the BRC.

You got me thinking about dragging it back out of the mothballs. Hey Ed, do you think Alesis will take these as trade ins towards HD-BRC's?

I use it this way too... works well...

I haven't noticed a lot of "serious" BRC glitches -- couple of times some strange occurrences along what you've mentioned, Ed... but it's still more convenient with the BRC than without.

Even more convenient would be if ALesis takes their fingers out of their butts and releases the HD24-specific MRC!
