Exporting Song Problem
Ever since I started my last recording project, Cubase SX will not export .wav files properly. I've quadruple-checked everything, and it looks like its some type of software error with cubase. It goes through the motions, but when i go to burn the song on Ahead Nero, it says that it is an invalid, or unspecified format. Basically what I have to do to circumvent that is open cool edit pro and re-save it.
I thought that maybe it was only messing up for that project folder, so then I went back to export songs that I had previously exported succesfully - that didn't work anymore. It won't even export the ones it use to export. I've mentioned before that when cubase sx starts up, I get an error message that reads: "error unknown [0000]." [I purchased it; not a cracked version]. Any thoughts? |

I had sort of the same error with Cubase VST 5.0 when trying to burn audio mixes. My problem was that I was exporting to 24-bit, 44.1 kHz which isn't standard audio format. Make sure you are using 16-bit 44.1 kHz. My guess is Cool Edit Pro is doing that for you.
As for the other error, "error unknown [0000].", can you contract the company and see what that error number decodes to? Courtney |

Everything appears to be right...16 bit/44.1/stereo interleaved...PCM Wav
I'm going to try to contact Steinberg...see what they say... I went on their site briefly....the links for support are real CIRCULAR!!! I'm pissed. I'll try again though. Thanks Courtney. |
