if i record my tracks to a 16 bit sampler to edit than to my 20 bit dig recorder ....

if i record my tracks to a 16 bit sampler to edit than to my 20 bit dig recorder my recirdings wuill not be 20 bit, theyll be 16 correct?

As soon as you downgrade the quality to 16 bit you can go back to twenty but it will still sound like 16.
