auralex on ceiling

how the HECK to you get this stuff to stick to a drywall ceiling? i have determinded the the auralex tube tak is pretty much worthless. any ideas on how to mount this stuff?

The next step up would be contact cement, but I'm not sure how well foam takes that. I would ask Auralex what they recommend.

You might try getting some corrugated plastic. I think office supply stores have it. If you can get the foam to mount to that with contact cement or something else then you can just screw the entire assembly to the ceiling. The corrugated foam idea works on wall treatments, too, and then you can change the sound of your room by moving the stuff to different hooks.

Well, I stapled mine. It looks pretty good. It kept falling down everytime I used the adhesive. There's a few dimples here & there from the staples but nobody seems to notice them.

Velcro. Cures all. In fact, Auralex sells a backer panel with velcro. I would think that's more pricey than just getting your own.
