help me fix our jamroom/tracking room

This is a 2 part question complete with photos:
We practice in a small FROG with vaulted ceilings (see photos) & are going to start tracking drums there. This room is basically symmetrical except for the staircase you can see on the left. All walls are parallell (although 2 are only 4'tall). We need help deadening the room especially around the drumkit & taming the low frequencies in the room. Our current plan is to hang moving blankets over the drumkit from the slanted ceiling and put some baffles out in front of the drumkit, but this doesn't do as much for the lows. Any ideas?
Also, we would like to better isolate the sound in the room from the rest of the house. Would this be accomplished better by getting the drums & bass amp off of the floor or by soundproofing the back wall. I can find the resources I need for getting the materials & building what I need, but would like some feedback on the basic design & what to do first.
Thanks

Cop,

> Any ideas?

I'm sure you'll get a lot of ideas from my Acoustics FAQ here:
