Phantom Power?
Just checking... I don't remember if the 2496 has a preamp with 48 volts.
Have you tested the condenser on a mixer of any kind?

2496 is just a audio interface and it doesnot have a preamp, you may have to get a mic preamp to record from your condenser mic.

Select the input in the window to the left of the track in multitrack mode....it says REC 1
If you click on it, it'll bring up all availible inputs.. (if you aren't using a preamp on your condensor, be sure to do that first )GOOD LUCK! Chris |

Phantom Power. The condenser mic probably needs it. It can come from a preamp, from a mixer, or even from a seperate little black box specifically for that.
What mic are you using? |
