damn cursor
...did some 5.1 recording today and encountered a very frustrating anomaly--whenever I moved the cursor during play or record it created static/pops, which was annoying enough by itself, but I'm also sure it's not the best thing for my fairly expensive near-field monitors...never encountered this one before and I haven't installed anything new--such as a plug-in, etc...I tried adjusting samples per buffer, disk-block buffer size, but nothing eliminated the problem...1.3GHz winME machine with MOTU828 is solid otherwise--i.e. 4ms latency...any suggestions?...thanks.

...got it figured out...it was caused by the logitech roller-ball mouse (marble-mouse)...I just unplugged it and hooked my old mouse up and no more static.
