Do you guys post at the clinic?

Just wondering cuz I have learned a great deal of stuff here, music wise as well as recording wise, and I don't see many of you in the clinic (or did I just happen to miss you all?)

So, if you would, post a link to your tunes here and share them with us. I can't guarranty to have the time to listen to everyone's tunes, but I'm sure other folks would appreciate them anyway.

I should have started this thread with my link, but, I suck, so, I will just shut up and listen

I"ve posted before and used to listen to stuff regularly in there. Kind of got out of the habit though, and it's pretty hard to keep up with the amount of new stuff over there these days.

I hear you, JR. The clinic is almost impossible to catch up these days. Well, I don't have you in my "Homerecording Folder", so, give us a link

I just keep hoping that some of the stuff I've done with others around here will show up there sometime. when I first got a bunch of recording gear I thought this'll be great, I don't need to put up with a band, I'll just do it all myself. Well, that was then and this is now. These days I long for someone to bounce my ideas off of.

Yeah, I've been there off and on for better than a year. Learned alot and try to pass what I learn on to others. We have a mini clinic in the Fostex Forum too. Alot of good tunes coming off those machines.

Anyway, here's Cross Omega's Rockin Blues Demo: http://www.nowhereradio.com/artists/...d=1352&alid=56

And my ongoing solo project: http://www.nowhereradio.com/artists/...=1526&alid=304

They ain't the greatest quality, but they ain't too bad either. I learned alot from those dudes in the MP3 Mixing Clinic.

Gidge, my man, I have heard alot of your stuff already in the clinic. I didn't know you hang out here, too Give me a couple of days to listen to your 100 songs

hey, 64Firebird

there are lots of collaboration goin on in the clinic. Post some roughs and I'm sure someone will join ya. Give us a link to whatever

Axe4Yahweh,
wow, I have never heard any blues songs talking about jesus, definitely something new to me. I have a question, why is Cross Omega's Rockin Blues Demo so mono? I actually thought one of my cables between the soundcard and mixer broke or somehting, and tried to fix it But then I heard your on goin demo, I knew it wasn't my system. Much better quality imo, especially the recording quality on the crash cymbls and high hats.
Man, it just gets better, A Whirlwind sounds alot better than the rest. Love the lead git tone! But I thought the rhythm git could be more stereo tho, or at least panned more to the right, just my opinion. Dame, nice tone on the lead around 2:40. What's your rig?? I really dig the rawness to your git tone and playing.

Ok, I don't wanna act like I know it all and stuff. I will just shut up and listen if you don't need my feeback. But I thought it would be nice to let you know what I think since I asked for this. Anyways, DO post some links tho!!

Bdgr posted this once. But, it's not "home recording" We did this in a real studio. I hope I've gotten better sense then.

Jesus Christ is King was done in a studio. We walked out with a rough mix of the tune after spending over 15 hours there doing one freakin instrument at a time. Cross Omega is a Live band. Anyway, we used those rough tracks. They were never panned properly in the studio and the overheads on the drums were off. Hardly no cymbals on that tune at all.

The other two tunes were recorded LIVE on a Tascam 424 MKIII Cassette and Mixed by my sidekick, Jeff. Not a whole lot ya can do with 4 Tracks when ya have two Gits, a Bass, Drums, and Vox. LOL The only thing that I did on those tunes was clean the mud out some on my computer with n-Tracks. They were aweful. He also did not set the pan controls properly on the Tascam while recording.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm? My Rig... There's 5 geetar tracks on The LORD Is. All Behringer V-AMP2 Patches that my warped musical taste created. There's a Tele and a Str@ in the background from the original Stereo Rythymn Track that I did on my Tascam 414 MKII Cassette last year. The Amp Model is a Fender Deluxe. The Main Rythymn Git is my Super Fat Strat using a Plexi Model and the Lead is my MM Axis using a Plexi on streoids patch that I created. The Rythymn Fills with the Lead is a Tweed Champ patch that I created and I'm using the Super Fat Str@ on it. I took the Five main tracks and burned them to CD and uploaded them to my new Fostex VF 160CDR. Did a live Mixdown to the PC DAW on n-Track.

A Whirlwind is easier. It was recorded on my PC DAW using PGM's Power Tracks Pro Audio 8. Three Git Tracks. Main Rythymn is the Super Fat Strat with a Marshall Bluesbreaker patch that I created. I duplicated it and it's panned left and right with the one on the left changed in tone a bit with Parametric EQ.

Clean Lead Intro was done using a 65 Blackface Twin Patch and the MM Axis on the Neck PUP. The Dirty Lead that ya like so much is a Tweed Champ on steroids patch that I made and I'm using the MM Axis switching between the Neck and Bridge PUPS several times during the Solo.

If ya want a rundown on my poor man's recording setup, I can do that too.

hey, FLash,

I remember hearing this tune in the clinic, but I don't think I made that comment about melting ears tho
THe vocal sounds really weird, like in between a female and a male. Pretty cool voice nonetheless. Yeah, the mixing isn't perfect, and I suspect the mic'in techniques being the problem. Post your new stuff when you get them finished.

hey, Scott.

I think I have heard all of your tunes before in the clinic. Gotta say I really dig them. the Iraq Hate Song really reminds me of Sam's vocal, kinda creepy j/k

My Imagination is probably my fav amoung yours, I hear alot of STP influence there.

My only question is, pretty much all of your tunes are hit materials, and I can't really see all of them being in the same album. Have you thought about that? Well, I guess Bring Down The Mountain is more of a slow tune if it was in an album...

I've posted a few things in there for feedback... but I find I simply cannot pay really participate in the other half of it -- when things are good I can rarely find anything to give pointers about, and when they're bad I don't just want to tell someone they should try another way of expressing themselves It seems only a few are sort of on the way to good and I can maybe offer some valuable feedback. So I just kind of faded out.

My stuff is also at Waldo's site like so many others of us here:

My new recording, "Reincarnation", is my first recording using my new Breedlove (acoustic) guitar, and it has sparked some interest. Might even still be on the first page of the mp3 clinic

Yeah, I listened to Firebird's classy Blooozer. Nice chops Dude! Nice gritty tone. Whole band seems to have it together.

I have a new Southern Rock Style Ballad up down there. It's just a rough mix with a scatch Vox on it for now.
