Pre Question

What would you recommend that I buy used for around $60??? (my budget is very limited) I'm doing acoustic guitar/vocal recording onto my computer (Sonar) and live through a PA. Would I be further ahead to go for an M-AudioBuddy (will the low phantom power 44.1 I think ...run my Studio Projects B1???) mic pre or a Behringer 802 mixer (48V phantom power)??? And why??? Thanks .......BJ

I made the same mistake once, try asking your question on the right board ---> http://homerecording.com/bbs/forumdi...=15&forumid=26 and you'll probably get more replies.

I think you'd be happier in the long run to spend $70 on an Audiobuddy rather than the little Behringer... the Audiobuddy is a sweet-sounding little preamp for the money. Check out the following B1/Audiobuddy thread :
