shure prolouge 16l? has anybody ever heard of this?

It's been about a year sence a friend of myne gave me these mics. The're made by Shure and there name is Prolouge 16L. I have never seen this mic anywhere else. I'm sure that it's an old mic but would any of you know how good they are? I ask this because i can only get one to work. but, on the one that i can get to work, the sound is very, very low. even when the volume, gain and pre-amp are turned up! And here is the strange thing.....when my dad plugs it in to his sound system it seems to work just fine. None of my other mics are soft when they go though my system. whould any of you guys know anything about this?
