SX MIDI problem

I am a newbie here and have not found my answer yet, maybe somone can help me.
I have been using SX for recording and it is working for the most part.
I would now like to use the sequencer instead of my on board Kurzwiel or akai.
Problem is I can see the midi levels on send and receive but it is not triggering any of my modules or synths.
Here is my setup
AMD XP-1700
256 RAM
Aardvark 24/96 Sound card/ Midi interface
Midiman 1/4 thru box
akai mpc2000
kurzweil k2vxs
ensoniq ESQM
sequential Multi-Trak
alesis Midi-Verb
Zoom 1204

Even if I plug it right into my akai it still wont work.
any suggestions?

Thanks-
Jason

automaton#1 is on a distinguished road
well I´m not shure I understand your question, but
if your recording midi from your outboardsampler there are several issues that could be the problem
1: if you are using your outboards as sound source:

have you checked your midi setup in the device setup menu
are your machines audio output connected to the in´s of your soundcard (shurely they are).

2: if you are using them to trigger vst instruments are they correctly connected in midi in and out and is your rec button on the midi track , turned on ?

well I tried I´m a newbie as well but my outboards are working
great so I can only help from within my own experience.

hope it helps I not good luck to you

I ended up using my akai MPC 2000 for the sequencer.
It is a very easy step style. I won't be able to do as much with it but it will work for now.
Thanks anyway-
Jason
