after I reformatted my HD and reinstalled everything, I can't use most of the plug-ins by Sonic Foundry for some reason. As far as I know, the graphic EQ still works with Sonar, but pretty much everything else just clips big time.
The whole mix starts to sound weird even when the plug-in is only applied to one track. Does anyone have any idea??? AL |

You have to re-install the plug-in patch seperately and each time you install or re-install a plug-in.
Do that and get back to us.

Thank you, tubedude
But, can you tell me how to reinstall/install plug-ins tho? From the past, I think Sonar loads the third-party plugins automatically. AL |

Do it from the Sonar installation disk, should guide you through it easily. Download the plug-in patch from the website.

I've never been able to the Sonic Foundrys plugins in Sonar well. All the others run without a problem, though...

tubedude:
I downloaded the patch plug-in thing that's supposed to enhance the Timeworks plug-ins, is that the one you were refering to? I installed it and tried out some Sonic Foundry's plug-ins, and Sonar just says plug-ins can't be used (or found). I will play around with it more tonight and report back ps. which SF's EQ were you talking about? I remember using their EQ a long time ago, and thhey didn't really cut what they were supposed to (by using a spectrum analyzer to observe) AL |
