My girlfriend cheated on me with a close childhood friend. I found out 5 minutes ago
no i know how this feels to be betrayed by one who was once so close like brothers i cant walk and i cant think for this grief that runs like fire through my veins and the hatred it draws on me years are wasted my love is lsot for her the trust we once had destroyed and lost i can not forgive ill never forget how you hurt me on this day i can do nothing except write these words and hope that one day some good will come of this but you who was once a friend i will not forgive and not forget songs were written for her from my heart that you now disregard and stab you betrayed who you were and you have betrayed us all our circle of friends the loneliness will get and it is what you deserve

Since this is the songwriting forum I'll tell you that when I was younger I wrote a song called "I Hate You" after a bad experience with a girl. It was very therapeutic. It was 15 years ago but I still recall the lines
Your converastion's think your insights are pretty vague You're about as much fun as bubonic plague Making a joke seemed to help me. Anyway, hope it gets better for you soon.

I just gotta say.......write a damn song man, don't let this opportunity get away. Some of my best work was a result of intense emotional feelings. Use that to put your mind at rest.

Wouldn't that be the ultimate in poetic justice. Write a song about your cheating ex-lover and the best friend who betrayed you, it goes to number one and you generate a baotload of cash from it, they're publicly humiliated, you have cash and groupie status.

Its been a day now, and I've had some time to think. The pain is like nothing ever before though.
Thanks for all the support and thoughts from everyone. I've never posted in this forum before, and I only did it as a place to put what I was thinking and how I felt. Joro - they are beautiful songs. Not what I would usually listen to, but beautiful none the less. Especially Chasing sunsets - was that home recorded?! Very good quality. Anyway, I've had some time to think, and I'm gonna write a song. Joro, you mentioned 6 or 7 good hooks - I'm not much of a writer (I can only find 1 or 2 at the most!), so it may seem weird, but could you point me in the right direction with my lyrics? I usually only write about my friends and happy memories, so this sort of thing is a whole new branch of songwriting for me. I guess its also good to get another opinion and viewpoint on your own lyrics. Thanks everyone. Neil

I've been working my way out of that hell hole myself for the last six months and everyones correct...write a song about it and get you a prettier chick to hang out with even if its just a friendship thing...nothing says I'll get by better than a sweet little honey on your arm so get with it man!
