Sonar 2.2 XL no longer can export in waves?

Hello, needing help on why my sonar will not export into wave files anymore? Don't really what buttons I pressed earlier, all I know is that when I'm done with a song and then I attept to export it to a "wave" it will not. I usually export to a "wave" to edit in Wavelab 4.0, is this normally what you guys do? Thanks! Peter ><>

Have you selected the area to export?
Have you checked all the "Export what" check-boxes?

I dont think Sonar will export a project as a wave file, which to me is its gayest lack-of feature, in addition to not being able to import a CD track directly into a project without converting it with some other program 1st.
Sonar should have CD burning capabilities built right in, no ifs and or buts.

I can export, but I do not have the wave option, it defaults to riffwave, is that the same thing? I dont think it is. I do have other options though, just not a basic wave file.

Yeah, looking real forward to the gift.

Sorry what I meant was, upon clicking "export", I cannot locate the song that I saved, they other day it was no problem, now for some reason it will not list anything in "export" that I "save as.." in the "export" . From looking at what my songs were being "saved as..", it says something like "cwp" ?? the "export" will not show "cwp" saved files, what am I doing wrong? What I normally do is I "save as..." a audio wave file I think and then I locate it into "export", then I reopen the file in Wavelab 4.0 for editing. Please tell me what wrong.
thanks!

Question

...and just what on earth is a RIFFWave anyway? This had me baffled just the other night when I got to the point of mixing something down in Sonar for the first time ever!!!!! It seemed the only remotely sensible option so I went that way, but it was not intuitive!!

I believe Cakewalk did this so as to distinguish it from a Broadcast Wave file.

The RIFF Wave is what we are usually referring to when we refer to a wave file. A Broadcast Wave file has additional information in it, beside the audio data.

And that's about as far as I can take you.

And you're right, it's not intuitive.
