Fool in the Rain

Is it just me or does that part of fool in the rain, by led zeppelin, have the best guitar sound ever? I get super happy whenever i hear it, and it makes me feel like spending all of my money on recording gear.

Led Zeppelin - Fool in the rain

At about 3:52 seconds it comes in for a solo thingy.

What words would you use to describe that sound? And how would you manifest that sound into a physical form so that i can cuddle with it at night time?

That's a great tune. I assume you're talking about the guitar solo and I always assumed it was an octave pedal.

If you want to cuddle up with it then just light a few candles, take a few hits of acid and hit play.

Octave pedal?

What does that do, just change the Octave that the guitar is in? Is that why it is so low and has so much body?

It doubles the guitar an octave or two lower. Hendrix used one also that was called the Octavia. There are some newer versions of it out and Boss makes an octave pedal. It's a cool sound but it's not all that versatile.
