Synths at/under $1000 with DIGITAL OUT

I'm looking for a keyboard with digital out to connect straight to my Audiohpile 2496 S/PDIF IN and cut the hasstle of HISS even though as of right now recording from the analog output to the INS of my soundcard the hiss is almost non-existent, but I want to cut the hiss out completely!

Wink

I'm going with Gunther on this one - if you've got a midi controller, bang for the buck your mother will thank you for purchasing that motif rack.

Mind you, this is just my 2 pentz, and worth just that.

If you have a controller, what about an E-MU Proteus 2000 rack synth? It's got digital spdif out...plus all the analog outs.

Heck man, I don't know if you have a certain brand in mind, but Alesis has fairly good sound (I admit I love their piano) for the price and digital out.... for WAY under $1K.
