Peavey MD-16

I've got a line on a Peavey MD-16 for $150 (including Anvil roadcase). I've done quite a bit of searching and can't find much info on it online anywhere (including here).

I'm looking to use it as a mixing board for my "basement band" (and to do basic tape-out stereo recording) and then maybe down the road as a front end to a computer-based multitracker rig (via Delta 1010 or Motu 24I/O).

Mostly, I'm wanting to know if it's stereo or mono, if it'll do what i want it to, that sort of thing......

Anyone got any experience with these beasts? TrackRat, i saw in my search here that you had used one of these things eons ago.....maybe you can help?

any help at all would be highly appreciated!

peace,
wade

I have one somewhere. It's a stereo board with one aux send and one monitor send and inserts on all channels. Believe it or not, I tracked a CD of one of my old bands through one.

thanks!

TrackRat, I appreciate your help. I figured it was a stereo board, but since all of the pots were unlabelled (at least, with anything meaningful), I wasn't 100% sure.....and of course, Peavey's website was less than helpful as well. i figured i could always snag direct outs via the inserts, but i wasn't 100% sure if those really were inserts......

although, it's kinda ironic....in the meantime i've managed to get a nice line on a mackie sr24 (the 24*4 version), so i'm going to pass on the "absolute junk" and go for the "slightly better crap". ;-)

thanks again!
wade
